STAR Capital Partnership LLP acquires GSLS

STAR Capital Partnership LLP (“STAR”) a leading European fund manager, announces today that it has acquired GSLS (“the Company”), a leading independent Irish company operating in the secure logistics sector, from its majority owner Carlyle Cardinal Ireland (CCI).

Founded in 2004, GSLS provides business critical secure logistics services to Ireland’s largest banks, other financial institutions, and customers in the retail and hospitality sector across Ireland. GSLS has a strong reputation for high levels of service with a blue-chip customer base.

Consistent with STAR’s investment strategy, STAR will work closely with GSLS’s existing management team to identify new opportunities for growth and build on GSLS’s success to date. STAR’s backing will also enable the Company to continue to innovate and make investments in the Company’s fleet, employee base and IT operations, as well as add new services.

GSLS is the fourth investment by STAR’s €800 million Fund III which had its final closing at its hard cap in June 2017. The investment is strongly aligned with STAR’s strategy to invest in and develop strategic asset-based businesses that provide business-critical services to their customers.
