STAR Capital signs an agreement to invest in MYFLEXBOX

STAR Capital Partnership LLP (“STAR”) is pleased to announce that the STAR IV Fund has signed an agreement to invest in MYFLEXBOX GmbH (“MYFLEXBOX”), the owner and operator of the largest open access network of automated parcel lockers (“APMs”) in Austria, and become the company’s majority shareholder alongside founding shareholder Salzburg AG (“SAG”). As part of the transaction, STAR has made a significant commitment to provide growth funding for the further roll out of APMs. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Founded in 2018, MYFLEXBOX installs, operates and maintains the largest open access network of parcel lockers in Austria, with the ambition to roll out open networks in other markets. Since inception the company has rolled out over 360 locations serving several leading independent express logistics companies, as well as e-commerce providers and end customers.

MYFLEXBOX offers a suite of innovative last mile logistics services providing high utility to its partners while helping them reduce CO2 emissions and increase operational efficiency.

STAR’s investment in MYFLEXBOX fits well with our track record of investing into and creating emerging infrastructure businesses through significant capital investment. STAR will work closely with the founders and SAG on an ambitious organic growth strategy creating the leading open APM network available for all logistics, e-commerce and end customers.

MYFLEXBOX is the first investment of the STAR IV Fund.

STAR has a successful track record in value generation and driving growth, typically investing in asset-based companies that provide an essential service to its customers, with enterprise value between €50 million and €1 billion.
