Overview

In August 2020, STAR signed a deal to acquire a majority stake in Hawksford Holdings Limited (“Hawksford”) and provide growth capital. The transaction closed in February 2021 following receipt of customary regulatory approvals.

Hawksford is an international provider of fund, corporate and private client administration services to investment fund, institutional, entrepreneurial and UHNW clients across the globe. Hawksford is headquartered in Jersey, has offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, London and employs over 400 people.

Hawksford has a stable and loyal long-term client base, annuity like revenue streams and defensible margins. It operates across established and emerging markets where it is one of the few large players capable of serving clients operating and investing across multiple jurisdictions and meeting an ever-increasing regulatory compliance burden.

Hawksford is an optimal fit for STAR’s “virtual infrastructure” theme and represents a strong and cash generative platform. STAR aims to support the management team in continuing its successful track record of consolidating attractive businesses and execute a buy and build strategy in a fragmented market.
