Overview

In November 2021, STAR entered into an agreement to acquire Vincorion from parent company Jenoptik AG. The transaction closed in June 2022 following regulatory approvals.

Vincorion is a leading German engineering business active in the design, manufacture and maintenance of specialised high-performance, mission-critical mechatronic solutions for use in a wide array of end markets. The company has production and servicing sites in Germany and the United States, and employs over 650 people.

The business benefits from a strong market position and long-term relationships with blue-chip customers, whose extended purchasing horizon is in line with STAR’s strategy of investing in reliable future cashflow streams. Vincorion is led by a strong and experienced management team, well placed to further develop and strengthen the company’s leading position in its market.
